These first two photos are looking down from the top most veranda to the edge of our driveway, seeing the intense water rushing there.
This actually is a bit of a concern for us since it will be important for us to add significant erosion control. We notices the permanent ruts from this in our January 2010 trip. So some solutions to do there...

My natural question would be... can you install a water runoff/overflow management system whereby you use the flow to either (a) generate electricity (i.e. grand old water wheel energy generation?), (b) collect some of it for use during any potential droughts or water service interruptions (clearly not for potable water, but to keep things like toilets running, (c) filter it for spare drinking water, (d) redirect some of it in an irrigation system for any potential gardens/plant watering needs you might have, (e) design the usual runoff area to be a more controlled waterfall/aesthetically pleasing area.
Responding to Brian.
The ground runoff is too intense for any practical gathering. Some capture downspout water for irrigation, and at a point we'll do the same. For now, we just use our grey water system for that, but once we're there most of the time, it'll be important to use captured excess water for irrigation.
Our toilets are ultra low flow, less than a gallon per flush. Toilets are the only input to the septic system. All other water goes into our grey water system for reuse.
